Interview With Fellow Music Lover
Music has been apart of my life since I last remembered. Growing up my parents always played music in the house, especially on a Saturday. They played all types of music such as old school R&B, Hip Hop, Soca, Bachata, Saloma, Salsa, and Calypso. Having a passion for music is great, but it's even better when you know the person. Someone that shares my love for music is my cousin/best friend, Rebeka Roberts.
So I caught up with Rebeka, who is a eighteen, Canadian native, and writer and asked her some questions.
Janyne: How did you find your interest in music?
Rebeka: My brothers, Steve and Junior, played a lot of R&B and Rap, so my love for it grew.
Janyne: Who are some of your favorite musicians?
Rebeka: Coldplay, 2Pac, Chris Brown, Adele, Trey Songz, and The Wanted.
Janyne: Out of all the musicians you named, which one influences you the most?
Rebeka: Definitely, Coldplay songs. Paradise is my favorite Coldplay song since it's so inspirational.
Janyne: Have you played any interments before?
Rebeka: I played piano when I was younger.
Janyne: That sounds like fun. Was it classical?
Rebeka: No it was all types of genres.
Janyne: If you could be in the music industry, what profession would you want?
Rebeka: Most likely producing cause they do a variety of things such as make beats, help artists produce mixtapes and albums, and work with different artists.
Janyne: Do you think there will a music trend for the year of 2012?
Rebeka: Yeah, dubstep and techno. It seems like almost every artists is doing - like Usher and Chris Brown.
Janyne: Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule even though you're sick. I really appreciate it.
Rebeka: No problem!
